Full-TimeComplex Care Division

Commercial Manager

Up to £60,000 (DOE) + company car + performance bonus

Overview

Build it. Lead it. Grow it.

This is not a role where you inherit a pipeline. It is the opportunity to build a Complex Care Division from the ground up and put your name on its success.

Fidelis Healthcare is a fast-growing, governance-led health and social care provider. We deliver complex care, community services and specialist staffing solutions across the UK. Our ambition is to build a market-leading Complex Care Division, working in partnership with ICBs, CHC teams and Local Authorities.

We are looking for a commercially driven leader with established commissioner relationships and a track record of winning complex care packages. The role is around 70 to 80% commercial, with full ownership of growth, strategy and performance.

Description

Commercial growth

  • Own the full sales cycle, from lead generation and referral through to contract award.

  • Win new adult and paediatric complex care packages across complex home care, learning disabilities, brain injury and high acuity care.

  • Drive bid, tender and framework submissions alongside our bid function.

  • Lead rate negotiations that balance commercial return with safe, high quality care.

Commissioner and stakeholder engagement

  • Act as the primary commercial interface with ICBs, CHC teams, Local Authority commissioners, case managers and service managers.

  • Navigate CHC funding pathways, Personal Health Budgets (PHB) and joint-funded packages with confidence.

  • Position Fidelis as a trusted, responsive provider across ICB and CHC frameworks.

Division build and leadership

  • Define the division’s strategy, structure and commercial targets.

  • Work closely with our Clinical Lead, Compliance, Recruitment and Operations teams.

  • Embed a high-performance, target-driven culture from day one.

Mobilisation and delivery

  • Oversee safe, timely mobilisation of new packages.

  • Ensure a seamless transition from sale to delivery to long-term retention.

Market intelligence and reporting

  • Stay ahead of ICB commissioning priorities, budget pressures, competitor activity and pricing trends.

  • Report regularly to the Directors on revenue, package wins and conversion rates.

  • Keep the CRM and pipeline accurate and visible.

Responsibilities

  • At least two years in a commercial or business development role within complex care or healthcare staffing.
  • A proven record of winning packages, contracts or frameworks. Show us the numbers.
  • Strong existing relationships with ICBs, CHC teams and commissioners.
  • A solid understanding of complex care pathways, commissioning cycles and NHS and ICB structures.
  • Experience of tendering, bid writing and negotiation.
  • Sharp commercial instinct and strong closing ability.

Requirements

  • Experience building or scaling a new business unit or division.
  • Knowledge of learning disabilities, mental health, or complex paediatric or adult care.
  • Leadership or team management experience.
